Joseph Rubinstein is the filmmaker and serial entrepenuer behind Digital Bolex & Polite in Public, now helping brands move into long form premium content.
I founded Digital Bolex with the intention of creating a digital camera that recreated a 16mm film camera’s image qualities, ergonomics, and price point.
The Digital Bolex design was so successful it has become the only digital camera ever to increase in value after production was discontinued.
I also co-founded Polite in Public, the world’s leading experiential photo marketing company. Polite in Public has handled media campaigns for brands like Coca-Cola, Netflix, Toyota, Microsoft, Budweiser, Red Bull, EA, adidas, HBO, Activision, and many others.
I am now turning my experience working with brands and technology to creating a long form media company that specializes in brand messaging and brand awareness.
As brands move into long form content, they need filmmakers that are sensitive to brand needs and understand brand messaging. This is where I believe my experience will be invaluable.
If you have a brand that is thinking about moving into long form content I would love to have a conversation about what you are looking for.
Thanks, Joe
“Joseph Rubinstein is a great collaborator and inspirational cinematically. He was enthusiastic and has an exceptional work ethic. He worked in a hostile work environment with grace and humility, never caring about his own ego but doing what was best for the project. He’s certainly a director’s DP. In the trenches, he’ll give his all for you.”
— Darnell Martin, Director (Cadillac Records, Do the Right Thing)
“Joe is a deeply ingenious creator- his ability to take a new technology and immediately create aesthetically pleasing photos is inspiring.”
